Austin Air Pet Machine Replacement Filters
All replacement filters have up to a 5 year life expectancy.
The Austin Air Pet Machine Filter has a true medical HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arresting) filter surrounded by a carbon/zeolite mixture which elimates particulates and absorbs odors and gases. This proprietary blend removes ammonia and the many irritants associated with indoor pets. The HEPA filters 99.97 percent of all particles down to 0.3 microns in size.
**Note: These units are not made by Purolator. We offer these Austin Air brand units because Purolator does not currently manufacture a residential unit.**
How Pet Machine Units Work
The Pet Machine™ addresses the complete spectrum of air cleaning, removing sub-micron particles, noxious gases and chemicals. Austin Air’s 360-degree intake system draws air into all sides of the Pet Machine™, passing it through a 4-stage filter.
The result is more clean air delivered faster and more efficiently than any other air cleaner on the market.
STAGE 1 - Large Particle Pre-filter Removes particles easily seen by the eye (e.g. dust, hair and pet dander).
STAGE 2 - Medium Particle Pre-filter Removes small to medium size particles (e.g. molds, spores and pollen).
STAGE 3 - 15 lbs. of Activated Carbon and Zeolite Removes chemicals, gases and odors. Note: The JR. model has only 7 lbs of carbon.
STAGE 4 - 60 sq. ft. of Certified HEPA Removes 99.97% of all particles larger than 0.3 microns. This true HEPA filtration is the same that is used in clean rooms and hospitals.
